April Entry

- Work -

I was asked by Mike and Marcel to help out in a film shoot we’re doing for Great Wide. It was good to get out of the office and it really felt like work. I was just there to do all the little things for the guys as they were filming. I was in charge of the shot list, getting stuff, making sure of their things like batteries and tapes, and all the other little things.

We did get kicked off of Wal-Mart’s property because of a miscommunication of things. So that set us back a couple days. We made up for it by getting a trucker to come to us and then we took him around our area or wherever we needed to go. We even got his wife to play the part of a female trucker since we almost never get that.

The project is actually still on hold right now. There are shots we need to do, but it requires us to be on Wal-Mart’s property. Once things get green-lighted, we’ll go and get what we need.

During the film shoot, I was taking pictures with a digital camera that almost never gets used at work. It’s a Canon Power Shot A640. I really like it. I’ve been taking it to lunch and taking random pictures at, going, and coming from lunch. I’d like to buy one especially since it recently dropped in price, but we’ll see how sneaky I can be “borrowing” it from work. It’s not being used. It was just sitting on the shelf depreciating in value. At least I’m putting it to use.

For a week, our production manager and Patrick were gone. They traveled to Las Vegas for an NAB (North American Broadcasters) event. THAT was such a relaxing week at work. It’s always good when someone from work is gone especially when it’s management.

- Video Games -

Since the video game tournament, which I was 2nd place in by the way, I haven’t touched a game. It was a nice break. Almost one month of no video games, but that comes to an end when Mario Kart Wii comes out. Not only that, but I ordered 2 Nyko Perfect Shot guns for the Wii because they were hard to find. I also had trouble finding Ghost Squad at a Wal-Mart (have a gift card). I ordered it online and it’ll be in sometime after Mario Kart Wii. I’ll get a couple of sharpshooters together and see if we can rip through Ghost Squad.

I also realized how…not fun…it is to just watch people play video games. Yeah…

- Music -

I’m currently in the process of going through ALL my songs in my iPod to make sure each one is played. Usually I would just choose Shuffle or just play my favorites. This way I’ll hear them all…all 1302 of them (so far). I’m only doing this at work though (going through each one in order) so it doesn’t count while I’m playing it in my car.

I got more BoA* stuff from Yesasia. I ordered the Limited Edition 4th and 5th Korean album re-releases. Nothing really Limited Edition about it. The only real extra thing was that each came with a DVD that had 2 music videos in each of them. And I also ordered her first Japanese album, “Listen To My Heart.” Have the rest of them so might as well get what I’m missing. I also got “BoA The LIVE X’mas.” That was a great concert. A little weird singing along to some Christmas songs in Spring, but it was good.

And I ordered a couple other CDs . The 2 singles (Korean) of Cheon Sang Ji Hee that I’m missing and Genki Rockets’ “Heavenly Star” single. Can’t wait for those to come in.

- Miscellaneous -

This entry is picture heavy.

Ordered some more Rated-R Superstar apparel. This time I got Edge’s latest shirt, a couple of wrist bands, a beanie, dog tags, and a hoodie/sweatshirt. The last 3 items came in a nice package deal.

Japan Festival was fun. Started cold, but got nice and warm.

AndrewJ called me up to go to a free Houston Dynamo game. Not a huge soccer fan, but it was free and so was I. It was so fun. Yelling and screaming and cheering, WHOO! I have never seen so much orange in one place before.

AndrewN and his family went to California for a wedding. So I was asked to apartment-sit. So what do we do? Pool party! Thanks to everyone that came, went swimming, ate food, played Family Feud, and for having a good time.

And…yeah. Nothing else is coming to mind. Here’s one of the generic pictures I took with the camera from work.

Take care.
