April 2024 Entry

April 2024 Entry:

Quite a busy month.

MISC=========================

- Bought some Chewy Chips Ahoy + Reese's Peanut Butter Cups a couple weeks into March, but waited to eat them (04.01). I decided to eat one a day. They are delicious.

- Watched Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal (04.02). Great documentary. Hard not to cry, especially during the latter portion. You can tell how much he meant to so many.

I also re-upped my account for Peacock now that I'm making money regularly again. It's a small price compared to other services I discontinued around 1-2 years ago. It might be the start to getting some of those back, but for now just this.

- NXT: Stand & Deliver was so fun (04.06). I will continue to wave the NXT flag as I do think it's consistently the best wrestling program. Not only is the in-ring action awesome, but the variety of fun and serious is balanced as well as the ratio of featuring men and women.

- Wrestlemania XL was amazing (04.07). I wasn't able to watch night one as I was working. I basically watched both nights of Wrestlemania on the same day. That's a lot of wrestling to absorb, but I had a fun time. I cried twice; Sami winning and Cody winning. Lots of surprises all around and I don't think any match felt boring. If I had to choose my favorite match, it would be Iyo VS Bayley. My favorite part was Iyo countering the Rose Plant. I literally jumped out of my chair for that one, ha.

- Did my taxes (04.08). It was a simple process that took less than an hour. I only had to clarify what streaming was as the person helping was older. Bottom line, I got a refund. It wasn't a lot, but if you compare it to last year where I didn't make enough to even file, that's a plus.

Afterwards, I knew I wanted to get a boba drink (originally wanted ice cream), but wanted to find someplace new. I checked online to see what was along the drive and found a small place called My Tastes. I knew the area it was in, but would only pass by it. A nice small place. I was greeted by the worker who took my order. We chatted for a bit and I mentioned how I always passed by them. She mentioned that they used to be Vietnamese owned, but have been Filipino owned for about a year. Then we clicked on being Filipino. As she was preparing my drink, I looked at their menu and sure enough there were loads of Filipino food available (dining and catering). I'll make sure to support them.

- Contractors started work (04.09-04.20). The main things they were changing were the upstairs bathroom and the kitchen. I was told this was going to be a four day project. As you can see from the dates, that's not what happened. I knew it wasn't going to go that way as the kitchen had not been started until the second week and the bathroom was 90% done. When they were working on the bathroom, it wasn't so bad as the only inconvenience was that maybe they were in the way when I had to go up/down the stairs. But for the kitchen, many things were in the way. In general, the floors were dirty so I felt like I had to wash my feet anytime I had to do anything. Everything looked amazing once it was all done. Cheers on the new bathroom as it went from a tub to a standing shower, which I've wanted for a while now. There's so much more space. And I'm just glad everything works well.

- SNL - Beavis & Butthead (04.14). Wonderful sketch in general, but kudos to the makeup team. Add in the fact that almost everyone was breaking makes for good laughs.

- Movie of the month was Moana (04.15). Always heard it was good and I see why. The pacing never really settled as I never felt bored or thinking scenes were dragging out. Watching this after The Rock came back to wrestling leading up to Wrestlemania makes "You're Welcome" hit differently. Looking back on that promo where he said that, awesomely devilish.

- My mom fell down the stairs (04.17). Thankfully it was only one step that she missed, but she hurt her wrist catching herself and bumped her head on the window shelf. The shock of it was a lot for her and she was out of it for a few hours, icing down her pain. She was back to normal later that day and her wounds went away in a few days.

- Was supposed to meet friends to eat the Sonic themed food at IHOP (04.20). Unfortunately, the contractors came. One; I didn't know they were coming and didn't think they would because it was the weekend. Two; no one told me that they weren't going to present around that time. So I had to back out of the food event about an hour learning how things were going to pan out.

- Started watching Fuller House (04.21). I was okay not watching it, but the How Rude, Tanneritos podcast references it a lot (for obvious reasons). It wasn't until the episode with Candace was the guest where I felt I needed to seek it out. After watching the first two episodes late one night, I now watch one episode a day. I'm really enjoying it and feel I'm smiling (and/or tearing up) the majority of every episode. Wrapped up season one, four more to go.

- Too my mom to At Home to buy some stuff for the house (04.23). I spent that time swiping on dating apps in a different location (no matches). On the way home, I stopped by my friend's boba shop and got something for myself and my mom. I got a Watermelonada. I wasn't liking it at first, but once I mixed everything (instead of letting the chamoy and tajin sit on top) it worked very well.

- Hung out with the HeXagon crew (04.26). Originally this night was supposed to be for karaoke, but one of our members couldn't stay out late. Karaoke got rescheduled and we pivoted to dinner. We went to Itaewon Pocha and the food was great. After filling up there, we walked to a nearby boba place, but they had a sign that said they were out of certain ingredients. So we pivoted again and went to the closest Sharetea to drink and talk some more before wrapping up our night.

- 3 out of 5 members of CAB DJ hung out (04.27). The original plan was to go to Activate, but we rescheduled so more can join. Much like HeXagon, the plan pivoted to eating at Japaneiro's, which we've done previously. It's another one of those places I don't eat at too often so it still remains special. But I did eat prior so I didn't get much. Only miso soup and their Oreo Tempura (which was wonderful). Good talks, gentlemen. Hopefully Activate happens for us sooner rather than never.

GAMES=========================

- Demo Showcase Shorts continues. 30 demos meaning we did one every day of the month. Yay, it finally happened. Combine that with what was done last month, the streak is at 58. And at some point during this month, I reached the end of all the demos that were still downloaded on my Switch. Any after that point were downloaded and immediately archived to save space and be downloaded later.

One special note; Puzzle Bobble Everybubble! had to be skipped because it was a limited time demo that was until June 30th from whenever the demo originally was available, which I assume was a year ago. Never knew that it was a limited time demo. I thought to still post about it and mention how that was a negative, but that's not necessarily fair since I didn't get to try the actual demo. Sucks that it was a limited time (that doesn't normally happen), but I can't comment on something I never played in the first place outside of not getting to play it.

- The Legend of Dark Witch finished (04.01). The demo was played on stream 275 Demo Showcase 39 on 05.04.20. Got it on sale. I was going to play this back-to-back with Dark Witch Music Episode: Rudymical since they were in the same universe, but vastly different game styles. I liked it, but bumped the difficulty down to Easy. While 100%-ing wasn't a big task to attempt, it would have taken time to gain the in-game credits to purchase everything.

- INAZUMA ELEVEN: Victory Road World Wide Beta Test Demo "Leave Your Inazuma Mark on the World!" was the free-to-play game of the month (04.02). It wasn't bad and definitely added more to do than a normal soccer game. I think it would have helped were I familiar with the anime. Although I did enjoy seeing different super moves happen.

- I've wanted to update my spreadsheet. The amiibo tab was missing one thing; links to the photos I took. I've wanted to do that for a while, but thought it would take a long time. But one night, I started the task of amiibo chronicling (04.02). I learned a few things.

1. Sometimes I would post on my main account or the WingedVoX account. Not sure why.

2. I forgot a lot of the photos I took back in the day when I tried to be thematic in some way.

3. I didn't always give a caption.

4. I never took a photo of the cereal box and counted that as an amiibo figure. That made me worry that I was counting things wrong this whole time. After doing some research, I was correct on the number of figures, but like I said, I counted the box as one.

5. It wasn't that bad to chronicle. Yay for this blog and the spreadsheet to reference and make the process easier.

- Virtua Fighter 2 was the Genesis NSO game of the month (04.05). It wasn't great. I ended up putting it on the easiest difficulty and giving myself infinite health. Beat it with everyone and there are no endings. Only credits. My experience with Virtua Fighter in general is minimal. I only played the first and second game in arcades. The Genesis version is easily skippable.

- Golden Sun was the GBA NSO game of the month (04.12). Always heard good stuff about this series and I understand why. The weakest part to me was the story, but it wasn't bad. I liked getting new summons and that the game was straightforward for the most part. The decisions didn't matter much outside of different dialogue before getting back on track with the story. The only one that mattered was an early one that gave you the bad ending. And it wasn't difficult. Never had to spend time leveling up. The toughest fight was the optional super boss. I do plan to play the sequel eventually.

- A Space for the Unbound was wish listed back in March. I found out there was a physical copy coming out soon after both standard and collector's editions. It was too late to preorder it from GameStop so I went with Best Buy. Unfortunately there was a delay to the delivery as the stock was low. A couple weeks later, I got on the Best Buy chat and inquired about an update and it was similar to a chat I had a few days after it was supposed to be released. They had no estimated restock date so I had them cancel my order. I double checked the price difference between them and Amazon and it was the same. I immediately ordered it there and received it in a few days (04.13). Lots of good stuff packed in. Unless another game gets precedent, I plan to have this be the last game I play this year.

- KILLER INSTINCT was the SNES NSO game of the month (04.14). Bought this when I was a kid (still own it) and still listen to the soundtrack on occasion. Definitely paid a lot of tokens and quarters to play the arcade version back in the day. I forgot a lot of the combo strings, but it started to feel familiar for a few characters. It was rough beating it with every fighter. It's a decent port, but the arcade Killer Instinct is tremendously superior in every way.

- Indie World happened (04.17). Nothing super spectacular made me jump out of my seat. But I will be keeping Yars Rising and Lorelei and The Laser Eyes on my radar.

- NBA 2K24 Kobe Bryant Edition was a free Game Trial (04.18). I was very impressed with the amount of customization at your fingertips (character, shoes, etc). I had some Clutch City moments seeing those old school teams being available and recognizing the players. The game itself is good, but I was not good at the game, ha.

- Cheers to The Gaming Historian (04.19).

- Got a Daisy Power-Up Band (04.20). It took a while to find one at a decent price by itself. Funny thing, I knew the photo I was going to take for a while (at least a month) so I was excited to finally do it.

- Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster | FINAL FANTASY IV completed (04.22). I was looking forward to this one as it is my second favorite Final Fantasy with my favorite Final Fantasy character; Kain. The Pixel Remaster was fantastic. I liked the little touches they added. The story is shorter than I recalled because I was blasting through it. "I'm already a Paladin? Whoa." The things that took the most time were getting the Pink Tail and leveling up the final team to 99 (most hit it while going after the Pink Tail). And a lot of the original Final Fantasy II dialogue came back to my brain as I was progressing through the story. Good stuff, good stuff.

- Splatoon amiibo figure collection complete (04.23). Refer to last month's post about getting the Inkling Boy and Girl via a Facebook Marketplace transaction. Shortly after that happened, I checked eBay for the best/lowest price on the alternate colored Squid. Considering how much I saved on the other two figures, I was okay spending a little more for it. Got it for less than $40, which was amazing. The only caveat was that it took a month to be delivered from Japan. It was worth the wait and the saved money.

- Progress has been made in Crush Crush (04.26). The only girls left are from LTEs (Limited Time Events) and from finishing their text exchanges. The texts had been done for a long time. LTEs are random. Once old LTEs started to repeat, I did more research and found information that the ones I was missing don't show up anymore as they were actually limited (I think). That meant the only way to attain them was by spending diamonds (one form of in-game currency). I've been doing my dailys for this game and you usually get at least one diamond a day. Each of the girls costs 200 diamonds (do the math). I had just under 400 and figured at some point I'll use them for the girls. I accidentally used diamonds to get one (I swear I was on a different screen) and figured oh well. And by finishing their path, I earned more diamonds to get another. Now I'm back to less than 20 diamonds. Unless those last two actually do appear via an LTE, it'll be a while before I meet them.

- Mario's Super Picross completed (SNES NSO) (04.28). This was originally played on stream 830 (11.30.22). Back then, I used a guide. This time, I used a guide. As much as I'm more favorable of Picross in general, I'm still not great at it. But since I had the resources to do it all, I figured why not. Started back on this game at the end of March and did have credits roll, but there's so much post-game content. So for anyone that likes Picross and has access to this game, you have  a lot to go through. Now to think of what else to try and tackle for when all the scheduled games of the month are done with.

- My Gold Mario Power-Up Band arrived (04.29). Most of these sell for $80+. I was lucky to find it a little under that price complete with the case and map. Part of me wants to find the cases for the other bands now, but I won't be as persistent or willing to spend a lot for them. But for now, the Power-Up Band collection is complete. When Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong come out, I'll do my best to acquire those as well.

- Flicky completed (Genesis NSO) (04.30). The game loops after the credits roll and I was fine to not keep going. Watching others play it, I thought it was simple. The difficulty is deceptive. Combine that with well designed levels and you have a good game on your hands. I understand why others get addicted to it.

WORK=========================

- Friends came to do Lost City (04.10). For one of them, it was their first escape room and I was glad they came to finally get a taste of what I've done not just for the last few months, but the industry I was involved in for many years. Cheers on escaping and I'll see you all next month.

- Snow cones have been abundant at work (04.17-04.24). Across the street from work is a gas station with a truck that sells snow cones. There are 80+ flavors you can choose from and combine (if you want) as well as a few other snacks. As of typing this, I've had 5; Green apple + Passion fruit, Dreamsicle + Cream soda, Chocolate + Hazelnut, French vanilla + Almond, and Godzilla on Ice (Grape + Lemon/Lime). All have been enjoyable, but my first one is still my favorite. 2 of my favorite flavors and I never thought to mix them and it was magnificent.

- To wind up a busy Saturday, I did 2 in-room facilitations (04.20). It's not something we offer, but Agent Ocean and I made the call to do it for these groups. The first group was a drunk group that had been to our facility before and we knew they would need the help. They had fun. The other was a mom and son who were coming from out of town. I was basically playing in the room with them. They had a good time too, especially since the mom was glad that her son (I think he was 7) was opening up to me as progress was made because he was super shy at first. Agent Ocean and I think we'll probably offer this when appropriate because it definitely can help alleviate some stress for the Game Masters and the players themselves would have a better time. He and I would probably be the only ones taking those on as that's what we did at HER.

- Arrived at work 15 minutes late (04.28). One of the rare times I've been late. Not only was I coming from far away after hanging with CAB DJ, but there was an accident on the highway. If the accident wasn't there, I might have been either right on time or maybe only five minutes late.

And it's been a while since I was a Game Host my whole shift on a Saturday. It felt nice.

ETC=========================

- Happy Birthday, Ryujin.

- ITZY - Untouchable (Good Morning America)

- WENDY - [WENDY'S PLAYLIST] WISH YOU WELL - Band Live Ver.

- My coughing has subsided. It's still there either when I wake up, but more during the night. Either way, it is less. Not only that, but I am finally off the ZzzQuil (04.20). I was weaning myself off of it. Even on super late nights coming home from work and feeling exhausted, I would still need to take some. There's barely any left in the bottle too, ha. I am glad to know it still works for me. Just need to remember that it takes a while for me to come off of it.

Other than that, I found it amusing how the majority of events planned for this month had to be rescheduled or changed completely. Lots of things happened in general and I was mentally prepared, but things going out of whack multiple times was surprising. It wasn't horrible, but it was manageable.

That's a wrap on April 2024. Thank you for your support. Be cool and be kind.

March 2024 Entry

March 2024 Entry:

March sped by.

MISC=========================

- Continuing from being sick at the end of February, I finally went to see my doctor (03.04). I thought I was getting better Friday, but I had a relapse Saturday night and woke up feeling horrible Sunday. Had to let work know that I needed time off to get better. Prior to the doctor's appointment, I lost my voice. It didn't return the day of so that morning I typed out a set of possible answers to questions they might ask. It turned out to be very helpful as I could be very detailed and they could fill in information based on what they read. I could tell they were appreciative as they knew from my attempting to talk that I couldn't. After waiting a few minutes, I was given a nose and throat swab. Results from those tests came out negative. I took a COVID test a few days prior and that was negative too. In the end, they still ruled it to be a bacterial infection and to treat it as such. Medicine was prescribed and I took those as recommended. Did they help...some. One that was supposed to help with sleep definitely didn't work at all. Thankfully the sickness was mostly gone by Thursday and I felt normal enough on Friday.

- Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama (03.07).

- MatPat's FINAL Theory happened (03.09). It's crazy to think that he's done in that aspect. It was a great journey. I got into Game Theory somewhat close to the beginning. Did I watch every episode, no. But anytime I saw he was involved with something, I knew it was going to be good. And a humble brag I can occasionally throw out is that MatPat follows me on Twitter. How and why, I don't know, but it's a thing, ha. Enjoy your post Theory life, good sir.

- Pokémon Detective Pikachu was a great movie (03.09). I had always heard it was good, but I'm glad to have finally watched it. All the Pokémon look so natural and lifelike. I'm surprised they haven't made another movie in this style since then. Regardless, thumbs up. This also ended a stint of Pokémon related content I consumed this month (you'll read about the rest later).

- The Hollywood Rock theme is back (03.15). The transition into it along with the prior week's addition of the lightning effects on screen just made it all so dang good.

- Stopped by my friend's boba shop and tried their House Horchata (03.22). It had a nice cinnamon flavor to it. I'm going to try something new every time I go there. Only chilled for a bit as I wanted to rest up and play some of the Peach game before heading out again.

- Dating apps still suck. Had another fake account match with me (03.26). It was kind of typical from what I normally get where they mention "I'm not on the app much" and they ask for my phone number. After that, their profile magically disappears. Lame. As I mentioned last month, I'm losing hope.

- Hung out with HeXagon (03.30). Another Kpop friend joined as we started by eating at Honey Pig. We were done there in close to an hour and started to check out stores around the area like Eve Pink. There's so much in this area that I never knew about and I definitely want to go there to try the Korean pizza place.

We then went to Uncle Tetsu. I was the one that suggested it since I recently learned about it and saw that it was in the area. I like cheesecake in general, but I don't normally get it because it is usually heavy. This Japanese cheesecake was incredibly light and fluffy. I was very surprised and really liked it. I could have finished it by myself, but I still have half in the fridge as of typing this (03.31). Thanks, JC.

We then walked across the street to check out more stores there, which was where I and the HERetirees went after Activate. Some of the crew started to leave here and there as we were just chilling and talking outside. In the end, the Oreo sub-unit (funny that we all got an Oreo cheesecake, ha) stuck around the longest before I had to leave for work.

Shortly before heading off, an old acquaintance pulled in and recognized me. It had been maybe close to a decade since I last saw her. Since then she has gotten married and had a child. Her husband didn't recognize me, but I'm sure we met at least once before they were wed. Cute baby.

GAMES=========================

- Demo Showcase Shorts roll on. 27 despite being sick. I established that if I were playing a demo that was from a game I already played, that I would let it sit rather than actually play it. Reason being that sometimes data transfers over and I didn't want the demo data to override the actual game data. I was really worried about it happening for Theatrhythm. If it did, I wouldn't replay it. So I did that for a few demos this month. And if I didn't establish it last month, I did start a separate wish list category for games I actually enjoyed and will wait for a sale. This is different than adding a favorite to the wish list for every Demo Showcase like I did on stream. The current count for that list since starting these shorts is 5 (possibly 6, I might have already purchased something on sale and don't remember).

- Officially played Timberman VS (03.01). It was the favorite from Demo Showcase 14 (stream 93 04.12.19). Yeah, that's a long time ago. I technically got it for free when it was on deep sale and I only used some gold coins. I say "officially" played this game because I've actually played it a couple times with others, just not on stream. It's definitely more fun with others. Solo is too mundane. But hey, I'm knocking it off the backlog. Played, but not beaten.

- Played Pokémon Café ReMix (03.05). Didn't stream this because it's only playable in handheld mode and I see why now. It's not bad, but I lost interest fast. I was glad that I was able to identify the majority of Pokémon I encountered.

- I found a good deal on Power-Up Bands from Super Nintendo World (03.05). The seller was offering them for less than retail price even with shipping (which they ended up combining and refunding me for some of it). They had the majority of them. Thankfully I was able to secure one of each in my order. The package arrived at the beginning of the month while I was still sick so I didn't open it up until I was feeling better. They felt similar to a watch I used to have. And of course, it does register as an amiibo. All that's left to collect are Daisy, Gold Mario, and Donkey and Diddy (which I still don't see pop up...maybe they aren't officially out yet, not sure).

- SNAKE RATTLE N ROLL was the NES NSO game of the month (03.06). This was one of the Rareware NSO games announced and I knew I had to put some of them on the schedule sooner rather than later. I did play SNAKE RATTLE N ROLL as a kid. I'm pretty sure it was a younger cousin that had it because I have a vague memory of us singing "snake rattle n roll" to the theme song. Even back then, I knew it was a tough game. Never beat it until now thanks to rewind and guides. And wow, that last stage was...something, ha. It's worth a try, but I'd understand if someone played it for a few minutes and then put it down.

- I watched all the cutscenes from Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth (03.06). I did that with Remake since I haven't owned a Playstation since the PS2. I watched the majority while sick and it was a good thing to have on while trying to relax. Much like Remake, I wanted to see how things played out. Got some surprises, but overall enjoyed what they presented. Can't wait for the third installment. I know I'm coming at this from a different view since I'm watching it instead of playing it, but that's just how I consume some games nowadays. Especially if I don't have the console to play said game on.

- Pokémon Trading Card Game was the GameBoy NSO game of the month (03.07). I'm not a TCG person to begin with, but this was tough. Didn't beat it obviously. I was hoping for at least one win, but that didn't happen outside of the tutorial. Oh well.

- Pokémon Snap was the N64 NSO game of the month (03.08). I still own my day one copy of it. A lot of this felt familiar. Had to look up a few things to get the last 5 or so Pokémon I forgot how to make appear. Completed it 100%. I do remember it being a short game, but I think I spent more time back in the day trying to get the perfect shot and the highest scores possible. This time I only wanted to get a photo whether it was good or not. If the Pokémon was recognized, that worked for me, ha.

- Ordered a copy of DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT (03.15). This was the favorite from Demo Showcase 83, stream 673 02.22.22. A bunch of things went on sale on the Bandai-Namco site after the passing of Akira Toriyama. The shipping pretty much doubled the sale price, but it was still less than buying it new at any other retailer. Plus I got the steelbook. I'm waiting for the DLC to go on sale at some point. And I'm not sure exactly when I'll play this, but I think this will be a great way for me to relive the series and to honor Akira Toriyama.

- Continuing playing the Pixel Remasters with Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster | FINAL FANTASY III (03.16). Never played any other version other than the 3D version on the DS. It's been a long time so I forgot a lot of what happened. If you know me game-wise, you may know I'm not the biggest fan of job systems. But thanks to the boosts, I liked swapping jobs frequently. Everyone at least had the majority of the jobs at level 10 before the final dungeon where I stuck with a specific set of jobs. But I did get one character to get White Mage to level 99. I enjoyed it.

- With a little extra time between the next planned game to play, I finished Dark Witch Music Episode: Rudymical (03.18). This was the secondary favorite from Demo Showcase 100 stream 833 12.05.22. Originally this was penned to be played in April to accompany another Dark Witch game, but since it had a short run time, I felt I could run through it quickly. I did...on Easy. It's not bad as a rhythm game, but with all rhythm games I hit walls when there are too many notes on screen. Add the fact that you needed to reach a point threshold before defeating your foe for it to be considered officially beaten. Try the demo yourself if you're curious.

- Got my copy of Princess Peach: Showtime! (03.22). Played it for a bit that day and it didn't take long to realize how I wanted to tackle it. I wanted to collect everything per stage before moving on. Then I wanted to do everything on that floor before going to the next. I did have to look up where and how to attain the sparkles. I did end up beating the game and credits rolled, but post game content opened up. That did require me to replay all levels to find new collectibles as well as beat each boss under specific circumstances. Basically had to play the game 2-3 times over before officially completing it 100% (03.26). It is not a bad game by any means, but I wasn't having too much fun with it. I liked trying out the different transformations and I agree that they could make separate games for each one. But replaying stages wouldn't have been so bad if the loading times weren't so long and if you could skip previously read dialogue. The latter part of my playthrough was me playing the game on mute while listening to podcasts. For an RPG when you need to spend time to gain levels or money, me putting on a podcast isn't bad. But when I do it early for any other kind of game, especially a new one, it doesn't have my total attention. I'd be down for a sequel if the negatives were handled properly.

- At least once a day, I do a daily check of eBay and Facebook Marketplace for amiibo or power-up bands. I was losing a lot of bids on eBay and getting no responses from Facebook listings or they don't do shipping. After a few more losses for amiibo on eBay, I contacted one person on Facebook that still had something listed. It was for the alternate color Splatoon Inkling Boy and Girl amiibo.  I don't know if they didn't know how much they could get, but they were selling both for $50. Normally you can find one alone for that price or higher. Part of me wanted to get all 3 in one go, but this was such a good deal so I contacted them. I asked if they could ship because I'd have to drive more than an hour to pick them up. They reiterated no shipping, but agreed to meet closer even though it was still an hour for me. I went out to meet them at a McDonald's to make the exchange (03.22). I was early so I went inside (and swiped since I was in a different area). They arrived and I met them at their car to greet them, pay, get the amiibo, and thanked them before we departed. Short and simple exchange, no banter, no questioning, nothing. I was expecting maybe a short conversation, but it was business and that's all. Yes, I got a great deal, but I literally spent 2 hours driving back and forth for a 2 minute meet up. That's why I was hoping for shipping. I was also worried about meeting someone like this even though I heard decent stories from friends that bought and sold stuff through Facebook, but I prepared myself just in case anything went down. And that's how my first Facebook Marketplace exchange went.

- Shifting the gaming schedule a bit. I originally established how I was going to tackle games in November in this post-stream life. I like it, but I didn't take into account beating games fast. There were a few times that I had nothing to do because I was "done" with the game schedule. Basically the end of the month (or if there's time before a game comes out like Dark Witch Music Episode: Rudymical before Princess Peach: Showtime!) will now have some miscellaneous extra games if possible outside of specific games I want to end the month on. And I did pick a game I didn't beat on stream, credits did roll, but I couldn't complete it by the end of the month. What is it? You'll find out next month when I finish it off. Behold, the revised gaming schedule (I only added the last item):

Backlog (digital)
Free-to-play
NSO (NES, Genesis - alternating months)
NSO (Game Boy, GBA - alternating months)
NSO - N64, SNES - alternating months)
Backlog (physical)
Extra (Theatrhythm, short game, did not beat on stream)

WORK=========================

- First day back to work after being sick (03.09). I made sure to say words to music to warm up my throat since my voice wasn't fully back and I couldn't fully sing either. But it held up. Popped a cough drop a few times. Other than getting back up to speed, things felt fine. One sucky thing was that I forgot my phone at home. I realized that halfway through my drive. It was either go back and be really late or go on without it. I went on without it.

And then there was someone who I will nickname Dice for the sake of this entry. She came in and both Agent Ocean and I immediately recognized she was attractive. I made it out of the control room to greet her and check her in. She booked a session for her daughter and her three friends. They were early so they settled in. I had the girls try out the questions about the wall of clocks. As they did that, Dice was sitting by herself so I checked on her. I asked what the occasion was and she said her daughter wanted to do something with her friends for her birthday. I didn't know which one was her daughter and she pointed her out. I made a comment that I didn't think she was a mom when she came in. She pointed out the gray hairs on the top of her head. I point out the gray hairs in my facial hair, ha. She had asked earlier if people went on dates to escape rooms and I answered yes, but let her know why I think it's a bad idea by giving her an example. I did that after asking if it's okay to sit next to her to show. She didn't know how escape rooms worked since she never did one and I gave her a brief rundown of what she and I would do if we were on the same team. She pointed out how she's excited for the girls to play (some had been to our establishment before) and that she was going to just chill in the lobby. I asked if she'd like to at least see the beginning part with the rules and explanations and she agreed. I double checked to see if any other rooms weren't active and some weren't. So I offered to show her those and she was excited. As we started walking back to the rooms, the girls followed, ha. Showed them Lost City first (some of the girls played that) and then Star Trek. Then we walked back out to the lobby as they still needed to wait. When it was finally time to walk them back, she came with us as originally agreed upon. Took them to The C0D3 and did the whole spiel for them and walked out with her. Said a few things walking back like if she's going to go out and come back to come back in 45-50 minutes rather than the full 60 as they could be out sooner, but she said she was going to just stay in the lobby. She sat down and I offered her a drink on the house, but she declined.

I kept asking Agent Ocean for help while she was there (offering a drink was his idea). I didn't neglect my normal duties as other teams were around. It wasn't the busiest Saturday. I would check on Dice every now and then as she was just sitting by herself and checking her phone. At one point she asked how they were doing and how much time was left. I then brought out the laptop that we normally give to people that reserve the party room. I sat next to her on the couch as I prepared it. Once it was ready, more customers started to come in and we both looked up. I suggested she sit in the party room, which I call the VIP room. So we went in there, she chose her seat, and I set up the laptop on the table. I pointed things out to explain what she was saying and hearing and she was thrilled to watch. I left her alone as more teams were coming and out. I was able to rejoin her when her daughter's team had about 10 minutes left. Gave her a bottle of water. She said how she enjoyed watching them and wished she knew this was an option. I explained how it's normally for the parties, but we sometimes make exceptions if it's not too busy. I also mentioned that I didn't bring it up earlier because I thought she said she was going to do work, which she didn't end up doing. I had one of our iPads on me so I could keep track of their time so I showed her a few things like how we keep track or how we can add time to which I added a minute to show. Of course I said not to mention the behind the scenes stuff to others to which she understood and thanked me for sharing some secrets. I pointed out what the girls were doing as they were close to the end. I mentioned the checks and wondered if they had ever seen a check before. She replied that they probably haven't. Don't know if they even teach that in school these days. She said that she did in 6th grade. I sat across from her at this point. We had learned we were 3 years apart (she's younger) so I found it hard to believe she was taught about checks in school when I wasn't since we were the same generation. She wasn't sure if it was 6th or 8th grade, but I would have been more inclined to believe her if it was 8th. And then I felt her graze my leg with her foot. She didn't apologize and she didn't retract. We kept saying stuff and then the laptop died. Forgot to plug it in, but I also thought it was fully charged. They were about to get out so I was going to go get them. The lobby started to fill up so I suggested she stay in the VIP room if she didn't want to be bothered.

I went back to get the girls who had just won. Said my normal things and led them out to the lobby. Dice came from the VIP room to join them. The girls were excited to tell her they escaped and that it was fun. Dice mentioned how she was watching them for a bit. The girls got ready for their team photo. I think Dice took a photo on her phone as well. I got the wristbands for their victory and grabbed a business card that Agent Ocean said to prepare for her. As I handed them their wristbands, Dice thanked me for everything and gave a gentle rub to my bicep. I then opened the door for them to leave and said to Dice "I'm going to be brave and give you this. Do whatever you want with it." That's when I handed her the business card with my name and number on it. She giggled and thanked me again.

I was hoping by the time I got home, I'd see a text message from her waiting for me. I did not. Unfortunately, she never contacted me. Oh well. I gave it a good go and treated her well. Maybe something will happen the next time she brings her daughter and friends to play or if she decides to play herself. If the story isn't over, you know I'll report back on it.

- Spring Break was busy (03.13-03.14). Our weekdays filled up quite a bit too. The weekdays I worked were probably the most I had ever hosted and resetted. Thing is, I felt a flow each day where things went smoothly, fast and efficiently for me. Shout out to the staff keeping things on track for the most part.

And then there was Saturday (03.16). By the end of the night, we had a company record of 55 sessions. The only sessions not booked were the first three Star Treks and half of the last sessions for each room. We actually opened up that extra row of sessions and were surprised how some got booked so quickly. Cheers to Team CARDS for staying later than expected that night. We weren't perfect as some teams started a little late, but there weren't too many major hiccups. The food we ordered did accidentally get sent to Oregon, ha. And our second order...did not come complete. We didn't receive all our fries and some of the orders were poorly made or messed with. It wasn't great, but we got some laughs out of the situation.

But there was one bad review that came from that night (03.17). The person that wrote it was part of a team that wasn't great. The game master was having issues with them not reading the hints that were sent. For this game master to complain, that says something about the team. When I went to escort the team out, one person immediately started to complain. They explained how hints were given 3-5 minutes after they solved a puzzle. I explained that we're always monitoring so we know what you're supposed to do next and wouldn't lead astray or be as delayed. They pointed out a few other things and I would offer explanations, but at some point I needed to bring them out. That may not have been the correct approach the company would have handled things, but I already knew this customer was wrong. Their review pointed out how a bathroom was clogged and smelled bad (they never told us, we found out after they were in their room), the delayed hints (even our worst game master wouldn't be that bad), how I rushed them out and didn't give them the time others get (how would they know how much time we give others after, and I probably gave them more time since they had complaints and I had to explain things). And how did I know they were talking about me? "The older gentlemen with the salt and pepper ponytail" was used to describe me. I did speak my peace to management about this and I'm glad they took my side. I know we can't avoid all bad reviews, but to get only this review out of 55 sessions (where we had tons of positive verbal feedback) hurts.

- It rained heavily (03.21). This was around the time a group of Empty Nesters came by. Agent Ocean and myself were on hand to take care of the group of 21 (4 different teams). They were well behaved, listened closely when we spoke with them, and very friendly. One person asked if I could fill their pitcher with water to which I quickly replied "there's plenty of water outside" and immediately apologized profusely as those around were laughing. Everyone had a good time. We hoped they would leave us some food, but they took it all (darn). That whole event reminded me of times Agent Ocean and I facilitated by ourselves at HER.

- For the first time on a Saturday, I was a Game Master (03.24). The rooms I was taking care of were Mansion Murder and Lost City. It was a mix of really bad and really fun teams. I accidentally pissed off a woman by giving them a few extra hints in Mansion even though most staff members give some specific ones regardless. I heard her say "I paid to play, not be told what to do." Thankfully she eventually calmed down and resumed playing with her family. I did happen to have my worst team ever since working here. It was a group of obnoxious boys that were doing Mansion. They constantly yelled at each other and everything and said some offensive things. They also were messing with some props and probably broke a few of the doors as they were trying to keep some of their group in and out of areas. I had to tell them to stop otherwise I would kick them out, which I had never told a team before at this place. They fortunately or unfortunately skipped a few puzzles because they pushed a door open instead of triggering it. I was okay with getting them out of there regardless.

There were some positive highlights though. One group of girls in Lost City started singing the theme song to Victorious after solving a puzzle, to which I commented something like "good job, Victorious team" making them burst out laughing. And my final team of the night was a walk-in for Mansion. While they skipped puzzles due to an issue with the door, they were fun to listen to and they had a blast. They asked if they could request me the next time. I said sure, but I couldn't guarantee I'd be working when they're there. I even spoke to them briefly after we closed as they were chilling outside. That was a nice way to end the work night.

- We have a new trainee. I met him the day he was interviewed. His first official day was the 26th, but I first worked with him the day after (03.27). He has worked at another escape room previously and worked with Agent Ocean at another one prior. It's interesting to train with someone with past escape room experience. He already knows that some of his struggle is unlearning what he did and to shift things to how we do it. Him and his girlfriend (who also worked at an escape room with him) played 3 rooms throughout the day as part of his training. They were fun to watch and they complimented their strengths and weaknesses well. So far, he's a good one. Very responsive, not a yes person, and is open to criticism. For me, it feels really good training someone else again. It's like I have a renewed purpose.

- Prepared 62 eggs for Easter (03.28). It would have been 64 (and I accidentally posted 66 on IG), but I used the same paper to print test so 2 of the 64 prints were too dark/bold. Took a bit to come up with the final printed message that is put in each egg (thanks Agent Ocean for the design help), but once it was settled, paper cutting and egg stuffing was easy tedious work. Hopefully we'll see some good results come from it.

And those eggs were popular. Many customers were more than willing to do what was instructed because we were giving them prizes. Anyone that followed the instructions in the eggs got a koozie with a discount code inside and either a flashlight or bottle opener. In special cases we gave shirts or even a gift card. It was worth it. Thank you to the customers.

ETC=========================

- TWICE - ONE SPARK (Choreography Video)

- TWICE - Killing Voice

Killing Voice is such a good program. Getting to see artists singing some of their greatest hits and have fun, that's a winning combination.

- Wendy - Wish You Hell (MV)

- Wendy - Wish You Hell (Live Video 1min ver.)

- Wendy - His Car Isn't Yours (official audio)

Wendy's 2nd mini album is obviously great. A different vibe from her first, which was also wonderful. My favorite track is His Car Isn't Yours. I misinterpreted what the song meant at first. When I realized it, I liked it so much more.

- Being sick was rough. I mentioned it last month, the last time I was sick was when I had COVID August of 2022. It was bad. I missed a week of pay since I couldn't go to work. My voice was gone for a couple of days. I lost so much sleep (finally bought some Zzzquil and it has helped), which led to having low energy for many days. Parts of my body either became very itchy or very dry. And I have a lingering cough. I found it odd that all the normal methods I do or the usual medicine I take wasn't really working. The biggest being any medicine to help with sleep because I never felt it kicking in (should have bought that Zzzquil earlier). I really don't know where it came from because I wasn't around anyone that was sick at home or at work. Part of me thinks it was because of a bug bite I had a day or two before it. Or maybe I had been pushing it a bit much and not getting enough time to recharge my batteries.

The one thing I learned when I finally saw the doctor was how much weight I lost. Since I started working again, I have lost 13 pounds. I had noticed that shirts weren't as tight anymore and that I needed to use a belt again for some of my pants. I didn't try a diet or adjust how I was eating, but when I was sick I ate a lot more. And while I still don't eat breakfast, I did start to eat something in the morning. Something from a slice of bread, a cookie, or a tiny snack. I think it's been helping in general as I'm not depriving my body of anything from dinner to lunch (not that I was ever starving, I'd always drink water). I never had a goal for how much weight I wanted to lose, but I'm glad I have been. Seeing a familiar body shape that I was proud of reforming is uplifting (abs are present if I flex), yay.

That's a wrap on March 2024. Thank you for your support. Be cool and be kind.

February 2024 Entry

February 2024 Entry:

Yes, it is the shortest month, but this month went by so fast.

MISC=========================

- ITZY concert tickets went on sale (02.02). This was my first experience buying Kpop concert tickets. Heard/Read many stories of how it goes so I was anxious. All of HeXagon were messaging back and forth and I was the one furthest back in the digital line. I think I was waiting for close to half an hour before I had an opportunity. A good chunk of the first few VIP rows were already taken, thankfully some of HeXagon got theirs, but none of us are sitting by each other unfortunately. By the time I got my chance, there wasn't much left in terms of VIP. I ended up buying one in the back row so I'd have a ticket. I did ask if anyone was able to find something closer to let me know. The leader of HeXagon called me later and let me know he got one for me that was closer and I bought it off of him. Thank you so much. Went from row J to row D. I still haven't done it, but I need to sell my row J. I'll push to do that more next month.

- NXT Vengeance Day was excellent (02.04). Of course they always deliver on matches, but that Trick-Melo interaction in the end, magnificent. I rewatched that clip so many times to look at all the reactions in the audience. We all knew it was coming and the reactions were worth it.

- I found out an acquaintance from the dance studio I used to go to opened up a boba place; Boba Societea (02.09). The only reason I knew about it was because she posted about finding a lost dog at their establishment and tagged the place. It's about a 10 minute walk for me, ha. Haven't done that yet, but I might some day. Went to visit and when I walked up to the counter she said "why are you familiar?" I responded with "because you know me" and she knew right away. Other than getting a drink (Oreo Milk Tea, good stuff), we caught up for a good half an hour.

I went there again after an ENT appointment (02.21). I would have gone earlier, but I wanted to pick up my ear medicine at the same time (it wasn't ready until days later). Had another drink (Berry Peachy, perfectly sweet) and we talked for a good hour about Kpop. I'll make it a point to visit at least once a month.

- Went to Activate with former HER Agents (02.11). Had seen stuff about it and thought it would be fun, but I did not anticipate how much fun we all had. We sweat, we laughed, we yelled. That hour flew by fast. We had some favorites and some that weren't, but there is still so much we haven't tried. I can't wait to go back and have told so many people about it.

Afterwards, we went to eat at Kura and walked to different stores in the area before splitting around 5PM.

- The X-Men '97 trailer dropped. I knew about this, but wasn't keeping up with it. However, the trailer sold me. I have a reminder set for when it debuts in March.

- Movie of the month (forgot to watch one in January) was Luca (02.19). It was on my radar after watching a React video where a few of the castmates gave it some praise. I had never heard of it before so I was curious. Not bad, but not one I'd recommend over other animated movies like Encanto.

- My copy of the MISAMO Masterpiece Japan Showcase arrived (02.19). Yes, I already watched it. Yes, I could have bought it from a local store. But it helped save on shipping for another item I got overseas. It was nice seeing all the stuff inside. It's been a while getting to open something and get a photo card so that was exciting. It was fun rewatching it (02.29). Everything had proper subtitles and I never saw the documentary video. Plus this was maybe the first time watching a concert DVD/Blu-ray/VCD where I only watched it. Normally I'd sit up and sing along and mimic dance moves, but being sick and not having much of a voice prevented that. It was still a pleasant energy pill.

- Been a while since we had  a long internet outage (02.19-02.20). This lasted from 7PM to 10AM. It was one of those times where I wish I went out somewhere, but the time of the fix kept changing by an hour per hour up until 11PM when it simply didn't give an estimated time.

- This concept art of a new Batman Beyond movie looks amazing (02.20). I never knew I wanted a Batman Beyond movie in that style. It did remind me that I always wanted a Batman Beyond game in the style of the Arkham games.

- Went to my biannual ENT appointment (02.21). I was a few minutes late because there was construction I wasn't familiar with happening in my area. Still had to wait a few minutes while there before doing my hearing test. But a couple minutes after I sat down in the waiting area for my doctor visit, I was brought in to see him. Nothing bad to speak of, but he did clean things up like normal, but it hurt a little more than normal with a little blood (that's a first). To paraphrase him "your tolerance for pain makes this easier for me. And it may be what's helping delay needing to have surgery." He prescribed some medicine to help heal it up while it's clear. The medicine wasn't ready until 3 days later though.

- Didn't get to watch Elimination Chamber live (02.24). I actually woke up around the time it was wrapping up. Over the next few days, I watched two matches at a time as there were other things I needed to catch up on. Sure, I knew the winners already, but I've said this many times; I look forward to seeing how it gets to those conclusions. While predictable, it made sense. Onto Wrestlemania.

- Ended the month getting sick (02.28). I was feeling it the day prior at work as I was coughing more and my throat was dry. Took some medicine after dinner and went to sleep early. Work up the next day worse off. It was the first time in 1-2 years I got sick. The last time I can recall was when I had COVID (August 2022). And it was the first time calling off from work in 4-5 years (when I worked at HER). All the coughing really destroyed my throat. I also took a COVID test just in case (02.29). Thankfully that turned out negative.

- I mentioned my exercise routine last month. It's pretty much the same. For my stretches, I added more breaths/seconds to it. And to the few that it can apply to, I added more reps. On my days off, I do an extra set of 50 push-ups. For dances, it's what I outlined previously and ending on Untouchable. There's always been a 4th song before that and it's either been Into The New World or Born To Be, but I won't be surprised if I change it out to fit my mood. I might add using the dumbbells I have next month, but it'll be small for now until I get used to it...or not at all, ha. We'll see. Getting sick probably set that back by a week or so.

GAMES=========================

- Demo Showcase Shorts continues. Was able to do 26 this month. Very close to doing a demo a day, but the ENT appointment would have stopped it if it weren't for the internet outage that happened previously. But there was a streak of 37 that happened when the outage ended. It's nice to get the variety of gaming in this manner like I used to before I tried streaming. And even though I was still sick, I made sure to get one in on the 29th as that was the only day (other than my birthday) that I didn't stream. This felt like a small victory.

- My copy of Lil Gator Game came in (02.02). I forgot what was included with it so it was nice to unbox it and see all of the items.

- Eroblast Waifu Dating Sim was different from what I expected (02.04). It's one of those things where I don't research too much into it otherwise I would have known there was a puzzle aspect to it. I thought it was purely a visual novel dating game, ha. I did enjoy the dialogue you have and the variety of girls you can romance, but it wasn't long before I realized I was going to hit a wall with the puzzles, which you need to do to earn in-game currency to continue the conversations. So the game plan was to finish 4 different routes and I did and never went back to the game. Had each girl had their own set of puzzles rather than all puzzles being collective, I think I would've continued and tried to 100% complete it.

- Overwatch 2 was the free-to-play game of the month (02.05). I forgot which characters I liked using in the original Overwatch so it was almost as if I was playing it for the first time again. Felt good. I knew I wasn't going to play it too long (maybe a few hours at best), but all I wanted was one victory and I got it.

- Kid Chameleon was the Genesis NSO game of the month (02.06). This was rough. The controls weren't great, not all the costumes were fun, and the timer didn't make things any easier. There was some potential, but I don't think it reached the greatness it possibly could have been.

- Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 was the GBA NSO game of the month (02.09). This was also the last of the Mario Advance games. It's Mario 3 so it's wonderful. The addition of the e-reader stages was a good challenge. It's Mario 3, but more. Definitely a top-notch platformer.

- Prehistorik Man was the SNES NSO game of the month (02.10). Notice the theme of platformers. This just happened to be a platformer sandwich where the slices of bread didn't taste good. I didn't like the vehicle sections. Collecting food didn't feel fun, especially when the village chief talks down to you if you don't get a lot, but you can still continue to the next level. Now if it were necessary to get a certain percentage of food to advance, that would give more incentive to explore, but also add time to a game that isn't great.

- 1 year of Crush Crush (02.10). I don't leave it on like I used to all the time as I have an abundance of money to last for a long time. There are only 4 girls left to unlock that I'm hoping they pop up in through LTEs like they're supposed to. I may use the diamonds I've accumulated, but each girl costs 200 and I have 331 (as of typing this). Sure I can get one right now, but it would suck to use them and they pop up a week later. So the plan is to get 800 diamonds (that's going to take a long time) and hopefully 1-2 of them show up in an LTE.

- The Sora amiibo is here (02.16). It is bittersweet that the final Smash amiibo is now a reality. There are no new amiibo outside of Smash announced so there is more talk in the amiibo community about the future. Will the next Nintendo console have NFC? Will amiibo become a new product (Super Nintendo World power-up bands, etc)? The fact that Super Mario Bros Wonder and the upcoming Princess Peach Showtime aren't having one, it's hard to see a future. I wouldn't mind it continuing to help promote new games, but I wouldn't be upset if there's not much to collect for me anymore. I'm only missing 4 amiibo, the power-up bands (recently found a seller at a good price) and I don't plan to buy the cards.

- Continuing playing the Pixel Remasters with Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster | FINAL FANTASY II (02.18). I've only played Final Fantasy II once on the Playstation with Final Fantasy Origins. It was my least favorite Final Fantasy. While I did enjoy this playthrough, it's still at the bottom (for now). The boosts helped with the leveling system. Completed the bestiary and collected all the chests just like I did for the first Pixel Remaster. And since I only played II once, the story beats still surprised me as they happened.

- My international version of the Apollo Justice Trilogy arrived (02.19). It got delayed a couple of times so it and my MiSaMo blu-ray came about a month later.

- Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase happened (02.21). Not much to say other than I was satisfied with 4 new demos and that Rare games are now on NSO. If nothing more interesting gets added to the libraries, I have the majority of those scheduled throughout the year.

- EA SPORTS FC 24 became a Game Trial (02.21). I wasn't asking for it, but I was interested in trying. It's pretty good. Super technical, but I was able to do enough to win one game. The only issue I had occurred when no players were visible during a few replays. The camera would still move and pan around as if the play happened, but the field was empty, ha.

- Wrapped up the Another Code: Recollection by beating Another Code: Recollection | Another Code: R - Journey into Lost Memories (02.25). I had more critiques for this one. You could buy things that didn't matter. The environment was larger, but you would be cutoff by Ashley saying what she's supposed to do and then the camera resetting. There were fewer puzzles and the ones that were there were simple. I know the story of the first one was out there, but I couldn't get into this one the same way. And there were more characters, but I didn't care for the majority of them. Other than that, all the positives game-wise about the first game like the in-game hints etc are still there. The credits sequence was wonderful. Do I recommend the collection; sort of. It's one of those that you can watch the story and still get it and not need to play it.

- I decided to start playing THEATRHYTHM FINAL BAR LINE again. There are a few reasons. The first is at the end of the month when I've played through all the games I scheduled and have extra time and it could be a one-off (I had been thinking to add more NSO, free-to-play, or more digital games depending on what I'll have at the time). Last month I felt I could have played something, but kept stopping myself. The other reason was because of the Pixel Remasters. So I will at least play the music from that Final Fantasy game. Not only that, I'm playing all the songs on Expert. I'm also working through some of the quests I couldn't do previously (some are still tough). And I will be playing other songs not from the first six games (DLC, other Final Fantasy series, etc). Will I attempt to 100% this; I'll make the effort, but won't guarantee it. I've never 100% a Theatrhythm game simply because there's a lot to do and it will be impossible for me to SSS every song on every difficulty. If anything, the end goal outside of playing the songs of the Pixel Remaster games, the goals include completing every quest, beating every song on every difficulty, and getting all the collectibles. That may take a while, but it'll be a nice game to come back to occasionally even after I'm done with the Pixel Remasters.

WORK=========================

- It was awkward (02.17).

And it was also the longest into the night I stayed at work. Me and one other coworker who volunteered to stay longer left around 12:30AM meaning I got home close to 1:30AM.

ETC=========================

- TWICE - I GOT YOU (MV)

I really like this song.

- ITZY - 5th Anniversary

- TWICE - ONE SPARK (MV)

The dance at the end is immediately eye-catching/

- TWICE on Today Show (02.23)

It still amazes me to see Kpop on US TV.

- ITZY Concert (02.24-02.25)

Seeing clips and photos from the start of their world tour is getting me hyped up. Can't wait to go to their concert in June.

- Laura Shigihara - When You Wake Up (MV)

- I mentioned last month that I was back on dating apps. Since then, I've been using Tinder, Hinge, and Bumble. I've used them all before. And...it's not fun. The experience is just like how it was for 5 years before the pandemic; lots of people to swipe on, but the only ones that match with me are catfish/bot accounts. And it's not like these apps don't work. I hear and read all the time that people I know are getting matches and going on dates. I'm at the point where I was back then where I question why I'm not getting swiped right on. I've had friends take photos to use and I've had friends write my profile. I've put what I'm looking for and even more or less. I've blindly swiped right on people who I wouldn't even swipe right on (not attractive to me, no matching interests, etc) with no response. I've sat in my car for 10+ minutes when I'm in different areas to swipe at the different people in that location. I've tried pursuing and I've tried not pursuing. It's too familiar and it's just as unsuccessful. I don't know. I know I've typed this before too, but for any new readers of this blog, no one I know has anyone they would match me with. And I don't need to hear how someone hopes I find someone because I've had people hope for almost 2 decades now. That doesn't do anything for me.

I'm romantically lonely and I am losing hope.

That's a wrap on February 2024. Thank you for your support. Be cool and be kind.
