December Entry

Apologies for the lateness of an entry to end 2008.

To be honest, I was purposely holding it off.

I haven’t been in the mood or wanted to express myself in writing.

I guess I’ll get into that more at the end of the entry.

- Work -

I took a week off from work at the beginning of December. I ended up being sick.

- Birthdays -

Happy Birthday to those I know with December birthdays. Those that I don’t know with December birthdays, greetings and good wishes to you also.

- Video Games -

SBCG4AP Episode 5 – 8-Bit Is Enough - click

I did beat Chrono Trigger for the DS and I recently got all the endings. I only have 3 enemies and 16 items left and getting everyone to level 99 to have completely finished that game 100%. I probably won’t do that. I didn’t and I don’t plan to write a review for this game. It’s weird…I love the game a lot. I guess I don’t think a review I do for it would be good enough (?) to show how much I like it. I remember feeling that way with No More Heroes. I loved that game to death and did everything in it and when I wrote the review…it felt lame and lackluster. That’s what I’m feeling for if I reviewed Chrono Trigger. Sorry if anyone was looking forward to that.

And speaking of reviews, I feel kind of…blank about my review blog site. I started it because I was encouraged to do so, but then got little to no feedback on it. I never wanted to do it in the first place because I didn’t think people would really read it and that’s what happened. I’m not going to close it though. I’m going to do it for at least one more year. If nothing changes, oh well. No big loss. Besides, I haven’t been playing that many games lately.

- Christmas -

Andy’s Xmas Bash, it’s always fun. Fun with friends. What more can I say. Yay for ANDY WYN. Thank you to those who gave me gifts and I hope everyone liked the gifts I gave them.

There was a small family Christmas party. I didn’t know about it until a few hours before the party that day. I’ll admit to not being super close with my family. I’m actually closer with my friends than family, but it’s still nice to see family. Meeting the new addition to the family in my cousin’s son was great. Little Dylan Cao has a heck of a grip on him.

- Maria -

Wow, I was surprised and so happy to hear from you. I’m glad you’re doing well and I’m happy you’re here and safe. Hope to see you sometime soon.

- New Year’s Eve -

Thank you to everyone that came out to New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. The theme was just music games and it turned out well. A good chunk of those in attendance participated in at least one game.

Fireworks go boom like always. I did get a little upset with a few people “experimenting” with fireworks. I’m fine if I put myself in danger because I at least know what outcome will happen with what I do when it comes to fireworks and have done it enough times to know. But when others put more than themselves in danger, that’s what I’m not cool with. I’d hate to have to set ground rules on fireworks for next time. It was still fun though. Friendship Pagoda.

- Miscellaneous -

I bought an HDTV, finally. I kept it downstairs for the New Year’s Eve party. Brought it up the next day and my entertainment unit was actually not tall enough to hold it. So I had waited for my dad to come and he raised the top of it with some wood (mod). I spent that day and some of the next day cleaning up my room and throwing away a few old things/trash. I still have stacks of VHS tapes and a few CDs to go through to see if I need to keep them or throw them away. Next big purchase is a new PC to edit video on. Don’t know when I’m going to do that though.

A few songs on my iPod have reached 100 plays.

Tenjochiki’s 2nd Japanese album is coming out soon. I love them so much. I joined a forum dedicated to them at the beginning of the new year. It’s not a big place, but that’s okay. I don’t like huge forums that have so many things going on that it’s hard to keep up with things.

BoA’s American album is slated to come out in March. Looking forward to it. You have nothing but love and support from me.

Been learning the dance for DBSK’s Mirotic. It’s pretty fun and is a good song.

Acupuncture is interesting. It doesn’t hurt that much and I didn’t really feel them after the needles were in. And the facial (acu gems) was very relaxing. I only really felt anything when it was happening around my eyes. Mm…so relaxing.

And I know she’ll never see this, but shout out to Natalie (Community Channel). You are one quirky girl.

- Thoughts on 2009 -

Before I start, 2008 went by REALLY fast.

Not setting resolutions, but I have a few goals set for this year.

One is about work. We’re having our reviews coming up soon and I’m ready to lay things out on the line. I’m also taking a good look at things and thinking about my longevity there. If things don’t change, I will heavily consider leaving.

When I started typing this out a week ago, I had a lot of my thoughts together. Most of that has gone away, which is not bad. I remember thinking I had a negative outlook on 2009. That’s bad. I’m trying to move away from a negative cloud of energy. It really built up a lot during 2008. While not everything can change around me, I can change how I handle them. No need to be negative, no need to be negative towards others (under most circumstances), and no need to bring negative vibes around others I care about.

Whatever fleeing thoughts I had, oh well. The year is new so time to change things around.

I’ve been dragging this out. I can’t form any more thoughts. I’m tired. Next month should be a better entry.

Take care.

Glad you felt relaxed, even with the hammering in the background. Oh and the saw too =P

Thank you again for the Xmas present! I've worn it twice so far.
