June 2017 Entry

June 2017 Entry

Summer time. It is hot outside.

=========================

- Starburst Gummies Sour are delicious (06.05). Right amount of gummie and sour.

- Just so I can remember the date (06.06).

- SNSD's Phantasia concert was a fun watch (06.14, 06.19). It had been a while since I watched hours of SNSD content and it was good.

- Got a boot on my car during work (06.14). 2 boots, ha. I wasn't mad about it, it was justified. We've been told for years that we have to clear the lot or pay the event fee when events happen at Minute Maid Park. I had been ignoring the warning and just pressed my luck. So paying the $140 for removing the boots was fine. I didn't do the math, but I'm sure it was still less than paying for all the parking. Luckily the guy was in the area to remove it within 15-20 minutes. Normally they are not available by the time I got out of work. But I join the Boot Club at work by being the 3rd person within weeks to get a boot. I've been good about parking now and everyone at work is more so than before.

=========================

- Beat Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers with all the characters (06.04). Took a break from it before beating the 2v1 mode with every character. And after another break, I beat the game with all the characters again, but winning each match with a super move. Basically I was attempting to unlock more of the titles. There are more, but they are tougher to get even on the easiest difficulty.

E3 2017 had some great moments and reveals (06.12). Ubisoft had one of the better press conferences especially with the reveal of Mario + Rabbids Battle Kingdom and the trailer for Beyond Good & Evil 2. The only thing that caught my eye from Sony was the Shadow of the Colossus remake.

There was plenty from Nintendo that I like. If you know me, I am a Nintendo guy. The Pokemon RPG for the Switch might be what gets me back in the series. Metroid Prime 4 was announced. Seconds in, I knew it was Metroid. Excited for it. BotW Champions amiibo were announced. Along with the crazy Super Mario Odyssey trailer (man, that's going to be a fun game), 3 amiibo were announced for the game also. After the E3 Direct, they announced Metroid: Samus Returns for the 3DS as well amiibo for it too. Mario & Luigi Super Star Saga + Bowser's Minions and their amiibo were shown off too.

The day after, I went to Gamestop to reserve those last 2 3DS games as well as a total of 13 amiibo.

- Speaking of amiibo, the 3 new Link amiibo came out (06.25). I was able to reserve the Majora's Mask one from Best Buy and Twilight Princess from Gamestop. I wasn't able to reserve Skyward Sword from Amazon though. However, that became available the day of release to order and I ordered mine right away.

- Nintendo wasn't done for the month. They also announced the SNES Classic (06.26). Unlike the NES Classic, I will be getting this day one. The SNES is my favorite console of all time and the games they included are great (played all of the games except for 2). And Star Fox 2 will be officially released on it. That is crazy.

- The Breath of the Wild DLC came out (06.30). The new inclusions are neat, but the main thing I can do is the Trial of the Sword. That is challenging. It took a while for me to even get passed the Beginner level. To this date (07.09), I made it to the Final trials, but have not beaten it yet.

=========================

- Trained 3 different staff members and did facilitated all 4 of our escape rooms in one day (06.02). I was tired for my last session. Even mentioned it to the team I was with that I was low on energy. Thankfully they were a cool group.

- We posted a "Vlog" (06.02). It was footage from our 3rd Year Anniversary. Thought to just go off the rails and do all the typical things vloggers had done in the past. Even the editing "mistakes" were done on purpose. And the descriptions and postings were definitely done in a way I normally would not type. Everyone enjoyed it.

- Another company meeting (06.06). It was also Agent Widdershins last one with us before going on sabbatical.

- Ever since letting loose with the Street Fighter graphic and our Vlog, I have been coming up with more crazy post ideas. I took a shot at the Transformers movie poster (06.21). Of course my skills are limited, so I did task another Agent for future film posts.

- We had "bring your pet to work week" occur (06.21-28). It was great to have some dogs around. The customers enjoyed them too.

- Since we had time and didn't have much to do, Agent Blue and I had an impromptu Facebook Live where we played Newton (06.27). It is basically Connect 5 with a few other extra rules. Easy to get into and fun to play.

- And this month's Blog was written by Agent Ca$h.

=========================

- I have been using dating apps for over a year now. After trying over 10 different kinds over time (currently still using 5), I have only had one date. It's...frustrating. There are too many fake accounts and no replies in general. The ones I still currently use, it's more like I keep them to pass the time and (sometimes) look at photos of good looking girls. I really don't know what to do now.

- With Girls' Generation 10th Anniversary album announced, it was difficult for me to not think of how they should do their next concert. I just wanted to put it out there. I also had actual goosebumps the time I thought this up. And in a style of What Culture, in my head I booked "How SNSD Should Reintroduce Jessica."

A month after announcing the concert date and venue, Jessica will casually announce going overseas around the time of the concert for a photo shoot. This would squash any expectations of her being at the concert at all. To help with this, she needs to go overseas "twice." The first time is to really take photos and say that she is coming back around the time of the concert. But when she's there, she will take photos for two separate shoots and only release photos of the first one in real time. The second ones will be released around the time of the concert. She also needs to post a couple photos the day of the concert for fans to think she is overseas.

When the concert actually happens, it should carry on as another concert, but the first third needs to be only songs produced with the 8 of them. Open with "Party." The second third of the concert should highlight solo activities, but including other members in them. The monitors will show a slot machine pairing the girls together. Once a pair is made, hearts will float around them and they will come out and perform. That way there is a breather between each act. TaeYeon starts and performs "Why" with Sunny singing some parts and dancing along (Dandyu). Next is HyoYeon performing "Wannabe" with Yuri dancing and doing the rap part (best dancers). After her is SeoHyun performing "Don't Say No" with Yoona (youngest members). And the last solo performance will be Tiffany performing "I Just Wanna Dance" with SooYoung (best legs).

After the last pair perform, the venue will go dark except the large screens. The slot machine will continue to roll again and end with hearts. Then hearts will then spill out like coins on screen along with sounds of a slot machine winning. Eventually, one heart large pink heart will appear on screen and stay there for a while. Faintly, the chords at the beginning of Jessica's "Fly" will begin to play. Those chords will continue to play and get louder along with the cheers of the crowd. Then a single spotlight will appear in the center of the stage. A few seconds later, Jessica will rise from the stage. After half of minute of the fans going nuts, she performs "Fly" (minus the rap part) with her background dancers.

Once she finishes, the dancers go back stage and Jessica is left alone with the stage lit up and the fans cheering and chanting. Tears fall before she addresses the crowd and thanks them for continuing to support her and for not forgetting her. After a minute passes by, the rest of the members come out on stage and hug her as a group (expect tears). HyoYeon breaks the emotional moment by joking and saying "you're really late, Jessica."

The last third of the concert should be performances of songs with all 9. It can be their main hits. I only request they open with "Mr. Mr.," which is the last song they promoted together as 9. And it would be nice of they performed songs they never did before like "Trick" and "Echo." End the concert with the new version of "Into The New World," but with Jessica included.

- HyoYeon - Wannabe (MV)

This is such a fun song. I definitely like it more than her first solo song. The song is good and the choreography, while simple looking, is very polished and pleasing.

- TWICE - TT (Japanese MV)

Like any other singer, I prefer their songs in the original language it was done in. It's good to read that they are having success in Japan.

- BoA - CAMO (MV)

So good. I continue to love this woman.

- That's all for June. That month went by fast. Thank you for reading. Be healthy, safe, thankful, and loved.

"Reprise the theme song and roll the credits."
